We have a lot of people to find!

But let’s make it easier – I suggest we begin with one surname and uncover as we go along the facts about their extended families and lives.  This way you will gain an overall picture and story of your ancestors.  You will have an overview of how your history came together.  You may see how families migrated through necessity of following work to other Towns or even Countries.  Perhaps we can distinguish those ‘family stories’ and also find new ones. We may be able to discover the names of those people in old Victorian photographs that are hidden in your cupboards.

This type of research can also give you the choice to branch off and search for more information on a particularly interesting ancestor or lineage.
At all stages of my research you will be kept informed, offered guidance and given the chance to make decisions on where you wish to head.

What do we need to begin?

Old family recordsAll the information you have including full names; nicknames; dates and places of Birth, Marriage and Death (actual or approximate); occupations and places of residence.

People often have access to more family history information than they realise, so your own knowledge and memories will help enormously in locating and verifying the records of your ancestors throughout my research.  I will encourage you to remember by regular contact and varied questions.

It is however, important to note that nothing is guaranteed when researching our ancestors. No matter how much information you can supply, it is entirely dependent on what records our ancestors were a part of and whether or not we are able to locate them within those records.
I will keep you informed and updated on all progress.
